Saw your show in Edmonton on the 25th. Fantastic, just like all the shows I've seen over the past 24 years. You should put 'Patent on the Wind' on CD with any new stuff you have written if feasable. I am sure it would sell easily. Until next time.... '

Hi Bill,
I was just listening in on the Bro Jake Show this morning and to my delight you were the guest. I loved hearing your stories about the sixties and seventies. Chilliwacks first impression on me was in the early seventies when Chilliwack played at Selkirk College in Castlegar BC. I was blown away! You guys were so professional and the sound was great. In fact it spend the next few days learning how to play Raino. Well some 38 years later, I still play in a band and we have Raino in the repetoir. Thanks for the inspiration (again). P.S. Do you still have that Gold Top Les Paul that you played in those days?

My wife and I saw Chilliwack in Saskatoon a couple of years ago at the Prairieland Exhibition. It was raining but the show went on and it was great! Really wish I could get 'Dreams Dreams Dreams' on CD. I'll keep checking back and hopefully will see an announcement for it someday!

Hi Bill,
Merry Christmas to everyone here.
I just came across this new forum and decided to join. I was a founding member of the Collectors and Chilliwack on bass. Currently I'm living in Ontario and playing music (just for fun now) with some teaching on the side and doing volunteer work for a human rights organization. Keeps me off the streets and out of trouble.
Bill, sorry I missed you your last time in Toronto. I had just moved from Toronto to Hamilton (bought a nice 100 year old house here) and couldn't get away. I sure enjoyed talking with you the time before and you guys put on a great show. Hope to see you again soon.
Glenn

Hi Bill, I was a 11 year old kid with my kid brother outside the gates in Williams Lake rodeo grounds being teased by teenagers because we didn't have enough money to get in. Security saw this and let us in for free It was my brother and I's very first concert, I remember to this day sitting down on the bleachers watching you guys getting ready to start on what looked like a flatbed trailer and Groundhog began to play... it changed my life! I grabbed my dad's guitar and been playing ever since. You and Brian M have been my major musical influence throughout much of my life and I thank you for it!! Nothing beats putting on Lights from the valley with the headphones on and melting to the music Thank you!! Ray Sharp

Dearest Gatekeeper, Please allow this letter to get through as her pleas a worth a read. Thank you for your time, Her mother Jennifer To whom it may concern, My name is Lauren Crossfield. I am a sixteen year old student at Sir Charles Tupper Secondary, and am currently in grade 11. Earlier this year, I was given the opportunity to attend We Day (a rally of youth coming together over a desire to improve the world). I was absolutely awed by the speakers, and the stories they shared with us. By the end of the presentation, my heart was already on a plane on its way to Kenya to help the endeavors of Me to We to provide education to underprivileged children. I am currently trying to raise funds to take this trip in the summer of either 2010 or 2011 (depending on how much money I can raise this year). The reason that I'm telling you all of this is because I have found a way to make this dream a reality for myself, but I need your help. I am planning on attending one of the volunteer trips to Kenya this summer, but I will need to raise $7500 in order to cover all my possible expenses. I am currently organizing a charity event to raise money for this trip. The event will be held on Monday March 15, 2010 at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver, BC [I've included a link to their website if you are interested]. The evening would run from 5pm until 9:30pm. Having you at my event would truly make the evening even more special, and would attract far more possible donors than I could possibly do on my own. During the event, I would love it if you were able to perform one of your songs in order to keep the motivation and energy in the room going. I know that you are very busy as it is, and that the timing is a bit rushed, but I also know that I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't try to make this event the absolute best it could be. In return, you would be pictured supporting a young girl who is only trying to do her part in the world. I am sure that if you would give me just ten minutes of your time, I could convince you that my cause is a worthy one. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future with good news. Yours, hopefully Lauren Crossfield 604 719 3820 crossfields@shaw.ca Link to the Croatian Cultural Centre - www.croatiancentre.com/

Dear Bill:
I am a teacher of gifted children in North Carolina. Out of the blue one morning on the way to class, I get the rift of Gone, Gone, Gone in my head. It won't leave me, so I googled it and found you! Do you ever come to North Carolina on tour? Those songs I played on the home page were awesome including my beloved "My Girl". I don't know what made "My Girl" play in my head after all these years, but I'm glad to have it (you) back.
Please come to NC, and let us know!

Just came back from the workshop in summerland. Dale, Randy, and I had a great time (as did everyone else there) and thanks to you and Roy, now have a few more tools in the writing toolbox. Even though must of us had our "baby"s arms or legs "cut off", we realized later how gentle and patient you two were until we could "grow" new ones! Cant believe the amount of time you spent with us; we certainly got our money's worth! Gonna submit next year again; close your eyes and repeat after me"Chuck, Chuck,Chuck......" Chuck "Bury the Wreck"

Hi Bill, the band members and gig guests..... tonight some friends and I attended your 40th Anniversary concert event at the Richmond River Rock theatre. I just want to say on behalf of my friends and I .... that it was a most enjoyable evening. We were rocking right along with you.... loved every minute of it. The video at the break was very well done... and entertaining. Loved the last song that you did with everyone back on the stage. What was it called? Thank you so much, Bill, for emailing me to let me know about your event. You and your band are amazing! We look forward to attending another 'Chilliwack' gig in the near future. Thanks again! Holly from Chilliwack, BC

Aloha Bill. I met you a couple of times in 1982. (a big black guy named curt) I was a friend of the late Brian McLeod. We met in lil mountain studios (studio 'B') when you guys were recording Opus X. I actually helped with some back up singing on 'Secret Information'. I was also in the studio when Brian was putting the final keyboard touches on 'What Cha Gonna Do' Brian was also involved in his own band, Headpins at the time. This was many years ago and I still cherish those days (but not the drugs).
Anyway I live on Maui now and I now record and produce young bands here and thru out the Hawaiian islands.
This past week I was sitting in the studio listening to Gone x3 when my young clients came in for their session and they heard the song (for the first time) and they loved it.
The upshot of all this is they want to do a hip hop version of it (slowed down a bit)
Before getting into legalities to do the song (publishing, royalties, rights etc) I was remembering at the time how spiritual a person you were, (are).
So before proceeding I thought I would try and contact you (after all these years) to not only get your permission and maybe your blessing, but to see how you feel about some other artist doing your work. (the song 'Mama look what they have done to my song' comes to mind.)
Because Gone x3 is a real rock song I was not sure how you would feel about a hip hop band doing it 38 years later. (has it really been that long?)
I'm not sure how often you check in here but it was my only avenue to reach you.
Congrats on the Hall of Fame thang!!!!!
Hope you hear from you when you get some time.
Sending much Aloha to you and yours
curt lee iam@maui.net

;D I would like to know where I could order autographed drumsticks/tee shirts and guitar picks. I was on a low budget so couldn't purchase any items at the Sound Academy show. Thank you for the awesome show
