Bill,
Have you ever considered touring with keyboards again? On one hand, it adds a lot to the sound, but on the other (and I know this from playing in clubs, etc.), the more guys in the band, the more ways the fee is divided!
By the way, in giving There and Back a close listen, I can hear several keyboard parts duplicated on guitar, and not just your solo in Communication Breakdown (which is brilliant). Are you satisified with re-arranging the songs in that manner, or would you sometimes rather have the real deal?

I could get into some rhodes/Wurly/hammond playing but I'm currently fairly disenchanted with synths. When we put this band together in the late 90s I just wanted to hear lots of guitar bass and drums. I'm still enjoying that...less tapestry, more groove! It's fun. Plus I like the chemistry of this group of people.
